I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
