19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since March of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has secured 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and recurring reactions on court had led commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was over.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, supported by an enhanced service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a third set.
He saved four early-game break points in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner earned the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
