Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
